Lacking the appealing, grubby adolescence of a DGainz production, the long-awaited video for King L’s semi-breakthrough “Val Venis” doesn’t depart radically from what we’ve seen before. Though this time, we get both a riding through the hood section - making it rain on the children was a nice touch* - AND a bank robbery, complete with MUBU jackets.
This is only the second-most important piece of recent King L news, since his absurdly gigantic Yung Berg-produced banger “My Hoes They Do Drugs” dropped last week.
Still hate that I can’t call him King Louie. Fucking Disney.
